ATLUS has released the second volume in its series of \u201cSummoners Guide\u201d information videos for Soul Hackers 2<\/em>. <\/p>\n

The official Japanese website was also updated with a \u201cSystem: Dungeon Exploration\u201d page and a character page for R.S., which features all the new information revealed in today\u2019s Summoners Guide video. <\/p>\n

Soul Hackers 2<\/em> is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on August 25 in Japan and August 26 worldwide. Read more about the game here.<\/p>\n

\u25a0 Introduction<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hey there. I\u2019m Ringo of Aion. This program will teach you how to be a Devil Summoner. It\u2019s the Summoner\u2019s Guide Volume 2. I\u2019ve got even more useful info for you today! First, let\u2019s go over the problems that we\u2019re facing right now.<\/p>\n

\u25a0 Setting: The Covenants and the Great One<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aion has predicted the world of humanity is coming to an end. Five sources of spiritual energy, known as Covenants, are key in all of this. As their name suggests, they represent a \u201ccontract\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Covenants have a deep history and are said to be the rainbow that bridges a contract between humans and God. When all five Covenants are gathered, it\u2019s believed that the Great One will descend upon the world.<\/p>\n

\u2014Milady: \u201cYOU\u2026! A secret organization known as the Phantom Society pulls the strings behind the scenes and wishes to call forth the Great One.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

They are led by someone known as Iron Mask.<\/p>\n

\u2014Iron Mask: \u201cDo you understand now? You can\u2019t stop me. You can\u2019t change fate.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Along with their comrades within their COMPs, Aion\u2019s agents and the Devil Summoners confront Iron Mask to stop the incoming apocalypse. That Iron Mask is one tough opponent\u2026 And he has a lot of people working under him too. I need your help. Yes, you, the Devil Summoner in front of the screen.<\/p>\n

\u25a0 Milady<\/strong><\/p>\n

How\u2019d you like Milady\u2019s video that was released the other day? I\u2019m going to introduce her in a bit more detail today.<\/p>\n

Milady the Devil Summoner\u2026 She\u2019s a member of the Phantom Society. Milady was the second person I revived to join me. I guess you could say she\u2019s a level-headed realist. She tends to keep her true thoughts close to her chest\u2026 Supposedly, it has something to do with her past.<\/p>\n

Past experiences, memories\u2026 The fact that human personalities are an accumulation of such data is part of what makes them so fascinating\u2026 But it\u2019s intriguing how sometimes, their own past can also be what binds them.<\/p>\n

Anyways, she sometimes still gets into arguments with Arrow and his righteous ways, but she gets along with everyone pretty well now. <\/p>\n

Speaking of those who have a history with Milady\u2026 First, let\u2019s talk about Iron Mask. He\u2019s a Devil Summoner of the Phantom Society. He\u2019s the leader of the mysterious Project \u201cC,\u201d and the one who ordered his subordinate to kill Milady. Supposedly, he\u2019s romantically involved with her\u2026 But why would someone kill their own lover? So many unanswered questions\u2026<\/p>\n

Then there\u2019s this other guy from Phantom Society: R.S. (voiced by Eiji Takeuchi). He\u2019s the Devil Summoner who killed Milady on Iron Mask\u2019s orders. He may seem ridiculous, but he\u2019s actually very powerful. He communicates through freestyle rapping. It\u2019d be an understatement to say he\u2019s a bit out there.<\/p>\n

Anyway, I revived Milady and had her join me\u2026 I have to say, she\u2019s a fantastic fighter. She fights with sai-type COMPs, has an affinity for fire skills, and her attacks pack a serious punch. She\u2019s very intelligent too. Maybe she\u2019ll even learn how to recover MP while defeating enemies.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s all from me. I hope you all find out Milady\u2019s charms for yourself. I think you\u2019ll find her more and more interesting as you get to know her. As leader, I just want everyone to get along, you know?<\/p>\n

\u25a0 Exploration Guide<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last time, you learned about the basics of combat. Today, we\u2019ll be going over dungeon exploration. This is important stuff, so pay attention, okay?<\/p>\n

Red enemy symbols can be found within dungeons. They will hunt you down once they notice your presence, and if caught, you will be thrown into battle with the enemy getting attack priority. Try to slash enemy symbols with Ringo\u2019s sword. Initiating battle by cutting down enemies will put you in an advantageous state.<\/p>\n

You can also walk around downed enemy symbols to avoid battles altogether. A bonus attack may trigger when going into combat with an enemy that was knocked down with slashing. Your allies will attack all enemies as the battle starts, tipping the battle in your favor right away.<\/p>\n

Upon stepping into a dungeon, Ringo will send her demons out on Demon Recon. You can reunite with the demons sent on recon while exploring the dungeon. You can reunite with the demons sent on recon while exploring the dungeon.<\/p>\n

\u2014Orthus: \u201cYOU WANT TO BE MY MASTER? WELL, I\u2019M STARVING. HOW ABOUT SOME MEAT?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2014Orthus: \u201cIF THERE\u2019S NO MEAT, THEN GIVE ME SOME OF YOUR TEAM\u2019S STAMINA!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

You can negotiate with demons to enter a contract and recruit them.<\/p>\n

\u2014Orthus: \u201cI AM ORTHUS! NICE TO MEET YOU!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Demons can be set into COMPs to grant access to their skills.<\/p>\n

\u2014Milady: \u201cI\u2019ll burn \u2019em to ashes!\u201d \u2013> Agidyne<\/em><\/p>\n

The COMP user\u2019s stats are also affected, so be sure to adjust them based on what the situation. Keep an eye out for enemy symbols and strike before they do!<\/p>\n
